I get error msg 81624 when I try to change my billing credit card

Hi Iroes,

Thanks for reaching out. Being able to update your payment information is essential to keep your QuickBooks account active. I'll be happy to assist you with this so you can continue enjoying the benefits of the program in the running of your business.

QuickBooks Online allows you to update your subscription by credit/debit card or pre-authorized debits. An important step during this process is to make sure that the address in QuickBooks corresponds to the one on your credit card statement. To verify your address in the software and make sure it matches your card's address, please follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. Click the Address section on the Company tab to edit it.
  4. Add or edit the Company address details (You'll note that the section even has the following message: "Address where your company is based. This address is used to calculate applicable taxes for your QBO subscriptions and is your default company address.")
  5. Click Save.

If you're still unable to edit your billing information, it could be due to a browser issue. Temporary internet files that accumulate in your browser can sometimes cause bugs in the software. To ensure your app or browser is running the program as designed, I recommend following the troubleshooting steps in this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online

In case the issue persists, it could be due to a block on the payment from the card provider side. A good approach for this is to check with your card provider to verify the charges aren't being blocked for some reason. If everything is good on their end and you're still unable to change your billing credit card, please reach out to our tech support team for us to investigate this further.
