I just added a new company in my QBO file last week and I was able to work on it bur I can't see it now.

Let's troubleshoot your browser and ensure your using the correct account to open your new QBO company file. I'm here to help you throughout the steps so you can get back to business as soon as possible.

 

First, let's ensure you're using the right account to login your QBO company file. If you have multiple intuit account login, you'll need to consider checking all of them if your new QBO file is stored in that account. 

 

If you only have one account, check your hidden companies. Here's how:

 

  1. Login through the QBO Canada login page until you're in the company selection page.
  2. Click the View hidden companies button. If you can't see the button, that means you don't have any hidden companies and proceed to the browser troubleshooting.
  3. Select the hidden company and click Unhide.

     

If you still can't find your company file, let's troubleshoot your browser. Over time, our browsers fills too much cached files that it can cause malfunctions to random websites. We need to troubleshoot this to ensure your company list data is updated. First, let's start with accessing QuickBooks Online using incognito mode or a private window. Here are the shortcut keys to go private mode in a browser:

 

For Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge / Opera:
 

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + N

For Firefox:
 

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + P

For Safari:
 

  • Shift + Command ⌘ + N

 

If this works, you can proceed to clear your browser's cache to clear temporary files running in your browser that have caused the malfunctions. Otherwise, you can also use other supported browsers to ensure it runs QBO efficiently.

 

Furthermore, you can also consider editing your company's settings to personalize how QBO to work the way you want it to.
