There are banks allows you to download the last 90 days of transactions, while others may provide access to transaction history going back as far as 24 months, Roly. Let me clarify how connecting banks to QuickBooks Online (QBO) works.
QuickBooks relies on the information provided by your bank, since QuickBooks is only for recording purposes. I recommend checking with your bank institution about their policies on downloading transactions in QBO. On the meantime, to include your transactions from previous year, we can manually upload them to your QBO account.
To begin, you will need to download your transactions data from your bank’s website in a file format supported by QuickBooks. Once you have the file, you can upload it directly into your QBO account to ensure all past transactions are accounted for.
Additionally, you can check this article for detailed guidance on downloading your transactions using a supported file format, please refer to Step 3: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
Once you’ve downloaded your transactions in QBO, you can now categorize them to maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Count on the QuickBooks Community team as your ongoing support system for all your QBO needs. If you required additional assistance in making sure you have all the required transactions in QBO, please let us know by leaving a comment below. Have a nice day ahead!
