Pourquoi je ne peux pas rendre inactif un produit que j’ai créé?

Hi, thank you for your answer. The problem I have with this particular product is that the "Make Inactive" option is not available. The only option available is "Assign a category". I succeeded to make inactive many other products, but for an unknown reason, I cannot make inactive this one. Any idea?

Pourquoi je ne peux pas rendre inactif un produit que j’ai créé?

Hi, @info2342. Thank you for sharing the details of your concern. I'm happy to help.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), there are two built-in product types (Hours and Sales) that cannot be made inactive because they're part of the system's default setup. To check if the product you're trying to inactivate is one of these default items:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Products and Services.
  2. Locate the item you’re having trouble with and click Edit.
  3. If the Item type field is unclickable or grayed out, it’s a default product, and you won't be able to make it inactive.

If this doesn’t solve your issue, please share more information with us, like the type of product or any error messages you’re seeing, and we'll help you figure it out.

We’re here if you need more assistance. Keep us posted.
