Quickbooks Connection Diagnostic Tool

GM,  /I was trying to create a copy of my company file, which failed because of the following message - now i get the same message when trying to re-open my file.  I cannot find the referenced tool, so would appreciate it if someone could provide the link,  The link in the message takes me to a general window, and the tool does not seem to be listed.  Thank you -

Quickbooks Connection Diagnostic Tool

Thank you.  It was the network connection that wasn't completed after I updated to Pro 2021.  The tool worked very quickly and easily.  I was a little intimidated by all the bold warnings at first, though. As a Mom and Pop -scale user (i.e. I AM the IT dept), i was a little concerned about what would happen if i did it wrong...particularly since i couldn't open the file and make a backup before hand!

Quickbooks Connection Diagnostic Tool

I had exactly the same error message ""Cannot communicate with the company file". I was not trying to copy a file, I was trying to open a file. I last used the file on November 1st, 2021 with no problem. I am not technologically astute (understatement of the year) and these types of message send me into a panic mode. I tried the "Help" tab but all the stuff about firewall etc totally confused me. I don't know what firewall I have and have no documentation. I have a deadline and I am freaking out I won't be able to access the file. Help?
