Quickbooks Desktop error while importing IIF file to import bills. error 151100 (*BillNo is not a valid IIF record type [15100] )

Hi there accounting-patel,

Importing IIF files into QuickBooks Desktop is a great way to bring additional data into your company file. This process has been made even more convenient with the Import IIF Tool. When errors occur, this tool will break things down so you can successfully import the file. Let me explain how.

When errors are found, the Import IIF Tool identifies the number of items that imported and failed, and provides you with a description of the errors found. You'll be given the option to review the failed items, open the folder where a new .IIF file of failed items is saved, and close the window to ignore the items that weren't imported. Selecting Review now gives you the option to correct the problems with your file. Select Import it for me. I'll fix it later. to bypass the data review and import the file despite errors.

It's important to note that Intuit doesn't provide technical support for creating or importing .IIF files. Here are a few articles that will be helpful to review:

Best of luck with importing your bills and enjoy your week!
