Hello thosepenners,

Connecting PayPal to your QuickBooks Online account is a great option for simplifying your bookkeeping by ensuring you can easily manage your transactions from that service in QuickBooks. I'd be happy to go over this with you so that you're able to get set up and see the transactions you're looking for.

When working with PayPal and QuickBooks Online, one of the first things you'll want to consider is whether your PayPal account handles more than one currency. If it does, I suggest using a partner app to connect the service instead since QuickBooks Online's bank feeds only work with one currency at a time. With that in mind, I'll help you tackle this issue of not seeing the transactions you're looking for.

QuickBooks Online's banking feeds typically bring in 90 days worth of transactions upon the initial connection to the feed, but some banks and services like PayPal give you the opportunity to bring in transactions from even father back than that. This date range is determined by the bank, and when you need transactions from even further back than that, there are a few extra steps to bring those in. In those instances, you'd use the steps outlined in the Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online article to download the transactions from PayPal to upload into QuickBooks.

As for the 3rd party app you've chosen, the parameters for those apps and how they work are handled by the app developers. In some cases, there are apps developed by Intuit, but otherwise, you'll want to connect with the app support team to learn why it only brought in so many transactions and if there's a way to access more. To find the contact details for your app, follow these steps.

  1. Click Apps in QuickBooks Online's left menu.
  2. Choose My Apps.
  3. Click the app you've connected.
  4. Look for the contact details in the App Information sidebar.

I hope that gets back on track. Don't hesitate if you've more questions, however. I'm here to help!
