Regarding Excel exports, QBO provides more raw data compared to the formatted reports that QuickBooks Desktop generates. In many cases, customizing the report before exporting can help preserve the structure you need.
For the logout issue, you can extend your session time by going to the Gear icon > Account and Settings > Advanced.
