Welcome back, Tom1!

It sounds like you have your bank account connected to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account. That's great! Using the bank feed is a great way to easily enter your transactions into your account. I'll do what I can to explain.

While the bank feed updates regularly (typically at the end of the day), the transactions aren't instantaneously entered into your account. Seeing as you've just purchased fuel, you won't see the transaction just yet. If you still don't see it after the other transactions from the day filter through, get in touch with QuickBooks Self-Employed support to troubleshoot.

They'll also be able to help you figure out what's going on with your bank account and credit card accounts uploading into the program. I suspect that it may be a simple matter of adding your credit card to the bank feed. Even if your credit card is from the same bank as your account, the credit card itself is a separate line and needs to have it's own credentials to pull from. In case you need them again, here are the steps for adding an account or card to your bank feed in the app.

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top left of the screen.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Select Bank accounts.
  4. Press the sign in the upper right.
  5. Follow the steps to find you credit card.

Again, support is happy to help if you're having trouble with the set up. Don't be afraid to reach out to them!

Enjoy your weekend. :)
