When I try to print a cheque with my pre-printed cheques, I can get everything to line up properly except the memo line. It is too low. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The memo line ends up in the same area as the bank info and I am worried it will be an issue when a vendor tries to deposit it. I can get the memo line in a proper position but when I do the $ amount, written dollar amount and the name of the person the cheque is made out to are all too high. Can the space between the 'to the order of' and the 'memo' line be adjusted?

Yes, Michelle. We can certainly manage the printer settings to ensure your cheques align and print correctly. I've got some helpful information regarding this:

If the memo line appears misaligned after printing, it's advisable to carefully review the print settings to ensure everything is properly configured. Adjusting this options can help achieve a more accurate alignment and improve the overall presentation of your document.

Here's how:

  1. Select + New, and select Print cheques.
  2. Click Print setup and choose your cheque type (Voucher or Standard).
  3. Select View preview, and print a sample,  then follow the on-screen instructions to complete printing.
  4. Compare the sample print with a blank cheque to ensure alignment.

If you still get the same result, follow Steps 2 through 4 in this guide: Configure your print settings for printing cheques in QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, keep your checks in manage by referring to this article. You can either modify, delete, or void, and memorize checks: Create, modify, and print checks in QuickBooks Desktop.

I encourage you to check out the resources below that'll show you how to align the cheques properly and if it's an alignment issue there's another article that helps you fix these. Here are the resources:
