Why do all invoices direct the income when paid to the Services Account. I don't want it there. How to fix?

Hi there.

When all invoices are directing income payments to the Services account, it is because the products or services listed in the item are linked to that account.

To fix this, you need to update the income account associated with your Products/Services. Below are the steps to modify this:

1. Click on the Gear icon in the top-right corner.

2. Under Lists, select Products and services.

3. Locate the product or service linked to the incorrect income account.

4. Click the pencil icon (Edit) next to the name of the product or service.

5. In the Income account field, change the selection from Services to the appropriate income account where you want the payments to be directed.

6. Finally, click Save.

If you are using QuickBooks Payments and it is associated with the service account, you'll need to change to a deposit account in the Account and settings.

Here's how:

  1. In the upper right corner, click on the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and settings.
  3. Select Payments and locate the Deposit accounts.
  4. Click Change next to your Bank account.
