Why don't I see all the past years when I use the drop down in reports in Quick Books for self employed

Hello there, Bandit2.

If you'd like to pull up the Profit and loss report, the reporting date drop-down will only show until last year. To view the data from the previous years, you can use the Custom date. When you click it, you'll have the option to modify the date.

If you're referring to other available reports, you'll have the option to select up until the first year of using QuickBooks Self Employed (QBSE).

We can try to do troubleshooting steps to see if this is a browser error. Open a private browser and check the Reports tab. If t works, go back to the regular browser an clear the cache. Also, try to use other browsers like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox.

If you have other concerns, please let me know.

Hi Bandit2,

Allow me to chime in and offer you my recommendations for moving forward with your report concern.

What AlexV suggested above is great, and that's how you'll find reports from beyond 1 year ago. If you've tried clearing cache and cookies, and using the Custom Date Range option to find your reports from 2012, but you're only seeing as far back as 2015, don't worry. Our team is eager to help you sort this out.

I recommend contacting the QuickBooks Self-Employed team here: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed. This team specializes is QuickBooks Self-Employed, and I'm confident that they'll be able to get you back on track. At this point, your situation sounds quite unique, so reaching out to the team is the best choice.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you've got questions.

Have a great day!
