QuickBooks Online (QBO) has processing cutoffs that require payroll tax payments to be initiated at least two business days before the deadline to ensure timely submission.
Since today is Friday and your tax payment is due on Monday, QBO is unable to process it in time, which is why you're seeing the too late message. To avoid a late payment, you can make the payment directly outside of QuickBooks. Once completed, you can record the payroll tax payment in QBO to ensure accurate records.
