With the new tag feature, I can't find the option to create another tag group. I created one when setting up but can't create any more. bulk tagging transactions also isn't working, does anyone know what to do?

Hello hadiwbizri,

Thanks for joining us. I love that you're trying out the new Tags feature in QuickBooks Self-Employed to further organize the transactions you're entering from the bank feed. This is a great way to group similar costs and income so that you can better track your finances. I'll show you where to go to manage these tags.

When you're working with tags, managing them is as simple as going to the Gear icon and selecting Manage Tags. I see what you're saying about there not being a clear place to create another group, so I'd like to direct you to contact QuickBooks Self-Employed support to double check on this. A support agent will also be able to help you with the bulk tagging issue to make sure you're able to use the feature as needed. Here's how you can get in touch.

  1. Select the Assistant feature.
  2. Type and enter "talk to human."
  3. Follow the prompts to reach an agent.

We'll help you get back on track. Take care!

"Call someone else" isn't a solution. This is the only post that addresses the problem, it wouldn't kill anyone to just post the answer here.

Hey there, were you able to find a human and get resolution on this issue?

Did you have any luck?  It looks to me like it previously was easy to select multiple transactions and tag them.  Now I don't see the option to bulk tag when multiple transactions are selected.  This defeats the purpose of tagging if it can't be done in bulk.  I will likely go back to excel sheets if that functionality is taken away. Let me know if you find out anything.

Hi jennyfinley01,

I hear what you're saying about how you'd like to use the Tag feature in QuickBooks Self-Employed and how it'll benefit working with your data. I appreciate you coming on this thread to share that you're also having trouble with this, and I want to make sure you have the opportunity to get this looked at as well.

If you haven't done so already, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Self-Employed team using the steps I outlined in my original response on this thread. That's the best way to connect with the team that has the tools to get to the bottom of what's going on. If you have reached out and are having trouble connecting with someone, please let me know, and I'll look into if there are any troubles with the system.

Don't hesitate to reach out.
