Hi there lilmaclennan,
I'm happy to hear that you've been using the WorkPapers feature in QuickBooks Online Accountant. It's designed to simplify year-end accounting processes and as a result, save time and resources. I know how important it is have the correct fiscal date range displaying for your year-end so I'd like to explain a workaround that'll help you correct it.
If you've changed the fiscal year before selecting the Tax year from the Workpapers dropdown, you should simply need to select the Accept Changes button. Please see the screenshot below to see where the Accept Changes button is.

However, if you selected a new Tax year from the dropdown before changing the fiscal year, you'll need to create a temporary adjusting journal entry to trigger an update. Here's how:
- Select Make Adjustment on the WorkPapers screen by clicking one of the top rows as shown in the screenshot below. This can be any adjustment. You'll be deleting it later.

- Navigate back to the WorkPapers screen and click Accept Changes.
- Delete the temporary adjusting journal entry that you created.
If after following the steps above, you're still experiencing trouble with your fiscal year displaying the correct date, I suggest that you reach out to our support team. They'll be able to collect some sensitive data that can't be shared in this public forum in order to look up your company file and do a screen share. One-on-one real-time support is a great way to work through issues like this so I know our team will get to the bottom of it. Here's how to reach out for support:
- Call us at 1-855-253-1536 from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST.
I wish you the best of luck! I'm confident you'll have this sorted out in no time.
