I wrote a payroll cheque out of the wrong bank account how do I changed that in quickbooks

Hi there, 

 

Since this is your first post in the Community, I'd like to give you a warm welcome. Don't worry, I'll give you a hand with managing a payroll cheque which came out of the wrong bank account. 

 

If you created the paycheque manually, you'll have the option to delete and recreate the paycheque so it goes to the correct bank account. To delete the cheque, follow the steps below:

 

1. Click on Employees.
2. Select Paycheque List below Run Payroll,
3. (Optional) Change the date range then select the paychecks you want to delete.

4. Select Delete.
5. Mark the checkbox to confirm deletion, and select Delete Paycheque.

 

Once done you can now recreate the cheque.

 

However, if you created Direct Deposit cheques, we're unable to delete them once processed. To make corrections to the payroll posting, I'd recommend contacting our Payroll Care Team for further assistance. They have the tools to do a remote session and help you resolve the issue in a secure environment.
