When I open Write Cheque I can not see the complete account balance number it show "CDN -219,22....." this window is not big enough to show the number, how do I fix?

This happened after I added another currency. It was fine before that. Now that it puts "CDN" in front of the number, it doesn't have enough room to display the actual ending balance amount.

Hi cruzin,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I pulled up a sample company file that also has multicurrency turned on and I saw exactly what you're talking about when I opened a cheque. After reviewing the settings and checking in with my other resources, there isn't a way to change how many characters display in that area. Keep in mind you can always check on your account balance in the chart of accounts. A great shortcut to get there is pressing CTRL + A on your keyboard at the same time. With the ability to change the size of windows in QuickBooks Desktop, it's possible to put the two side-by-side so you can keep track of your numbers while writing cheques.

Otherwise, I encourage you to submit feedback to our product development team by following these steps.

  1. Click Help in the upper toolbar.
  2. Choose Send Feedback Online.
  3. Choose Product Suggestion.

I'll be here if you have more questions. Enjoy your weekend!
