Where in the Company Setup do I enter the Quebec numbers? ie QST, NEQ and the Quebec Indentification number
Displaying registration numbers is critical to ensure compliance with local tax laws. Each of these numbers are handled in different areas of the software, I'll be happy to help you get this set up.
Having the company address set in Québec is important as it makes province-specific options available for sales tax and payroll. You can set the company address in the same area as the Business Number as follows:
Click on the Gear icon then select Account and Settings.
From the Company tab, scroll down to the Address section and make sure Company address is set in Québec.
(Optional) Enter your Business Number(BN)/Numéro d'entreprise (NE) in the Company name section.
If you made any changes, click Save then Done.
Once that's done, the QST number can be added in the Sales tax Center in a few simple steps:
Head to the Taxes section and select Sales Tax.
Click on Manage Sales Tax in the top right.
Select the drop-down arrow to the right of Add rate.
Select Edit agency settings
Enter the QST Number then click Save
For Québec payroll numbers, you can add them to QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll with the following steps:
Click on the Gear icon.
Select Payroll Settings.
Under Taxes, select Provincial/Territorial Taxes - QC.
Enter your Québec Payroll Account Number.
In Advanced Payroll Powered by WagePoint:
Click on the Gear icon.
Select Advanced Payroll settings.
In the Company information tab, scroll to the Tax information section.
Enter the Québec payroll number then hit save (you may need to expand this section by clicking on Add Québec tax info).
You can also customize invoices and sales forms with any additional information you need. Simply click on the Gear icon then Custom Form Styles to get started.
