by Intuit• Updated 3 months ago
Learn how to reauthorize QuickBooks Desktop to use Outlook webmail and Gmail.
Google and Outlook recently made some changes that can cause the error “QuickBooks is unable to send emails due to network connection failure" when you send an email from QuickBooks Desktop. You’ll need to reauthorize your account to keep using these webmail apps with QuickBooks Desktop.
To authorize or reauthorize QuickBooks to use Outlook or Gmail,
- Update to the latest release of QuickBooks Desktop.
- From any open transaction or report in QuickBooks, select Email.
- Select Send, you may be prompted to log in with your Intuit credentials.
- Select Continue in the Webmail Authorization window that opens.
- Select Allow.
You don't need to change any default permissions set by Microsoft.
