If you need full functionality to teach features like connecting a live bank and importing transactions, you can use the free 30-day trial version of QuickBooks Online.
Alternatively, if your focus is on navigation and familiarization, the QuickBooks Test Drive option is a perfect solution. It provides a pre-loaded demo company with sample data for exploring features like invoicing, reporting, and categorizing transactions. As test drive does not allow bank connections or data imports, it’s ideal for risk-free teaching scenarios. You can also purge the company in test drive if you wish to start anew.
Purging removes all existing data and restores the account to its initial black state. This option is available for accounts created within the last 60 days. Here's how:
- Log in to your QuickBooks Online Company.
- Change the URL to include /purgecompany
- Example: Change https://sg.qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage to https://sg.qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany
- The next screen will provide a summary of the items to delete. Type YES to delete the data, then select OK.
