I love that you've been taking advantage of the reports that are available in QuickBooks Online. Our programs come equipped with a ton of different reports with unlimited options for customization to help you see a snapshot of your business. As you know, QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop are very different accounting programs, with different features and capabilities. Let me explain this in terms of reports.
Having the ability to open multiple reports at once on the same screen, as in QuickBooks Desktop, is a super handy feature. It makes it easy to compare the data from different reports. While QuickBooks Online doesn't share this feature, there are a few ways that you'll be able to view more than one report at a time.
The Business Snapshot is one way to view multiple reports or different data at once. Navigate to the Reports page, then from the Business overview section, choose Business Snapshot. You'll be presented with 6 different visual versions of your data, which you can customize by date and account in some instances. These charts can be printed if necessary.
Another way you'll be able to view multiple reports at once is to log in to QuickBooks Online from different browser tabs, different browsers, or your normal browser and a private browsing window at the same time. Once logged in you can view one report from one tab, and a different report from another in order to compare and contrast the data. Reports can also be exported to Excel or PDF which can also prove helpful. Use the icon with the arrow between the Printer and Gear icons to export your data and manipulate it or compare it against other data in spreadsheet form.
