Is there a way to permanently delete/deactivate my account on QuickBooks?
I know that having control over your information is important, and at QuickBooks, we aim to give you as much control over it as possible. The foremost way we do this is with how you handle your subscription and your account, and I can absolutely go over the options with you for deactivating your QuickBooks Online account.
Deactivating a QuickBooks Online account is as simple as cancelling your subscription. The subscription remains active until the end of the billing period, and then afterward cancels out completely and goes inactive. Your card or account won't be charged again and our system hangs onto your data for 12 months after the account goes inactive before it's purged from our system. To take the cancellation a step further, you can request to have some data permanently deleted from our system. Here's how you can make that request.
Click Make a delete request and follow the prompts.
