QBs report for a particular month comparison for previous 3,4, or 5 years

Hey there SPatel12,

A comparison report like the one you're describing sounds like a great way to see the growth your business has made over the last 5 years. That would be some interesting data to view. Let me point you in the right direction to view the data you need with QuickBooks Desktop.

Most reports can be customized in order to show you a comparison of data between the date range you've selected in this calendar year as well as the previous calendar year. This can easily be done by running a report, a Profit & Loss for example, and hitting the Customize Report button at the top. Choose your Dates, and then select the box to Add subcolumns for Previous Year

I know you're looking to compare to multiple years data, so let me show you a way you can do that. Once you've run a report that compares 2021 data to 2020 data, export the report to excel, and run another report that compares 2019 data to 2018 data by entering the 2019 dates in your date range, and selecting the box for Previous Year again. Do this for as many years as you need comparitive data for, and then manipulate the data that you've exported in Excel to suit your needs. You should be able to combine several reports to see the multi-year comparison that you're looking for.

If this doesn't quite do the trick, I recommend submitting feedback to our product development team.
