Hi robkirsten,

Being able to see your information at a glance is what the reports feature is there for. I can help go over this with you.

QuickBooks Online helps you save time finding the information you need with the reports feature. When running the trial balance it'll show you the balances of your asset, liability, equity, dividends, revenue, and expense accounts for the current fiscal year. If the balances are from outside of the fiscal year and they have no entries they won't show up on the trial balance report.

If you're instead missing accounts from this fiscal year this could be due to your internet browsers cache and cookies being damaged or corrupted. I suggest following the steps in this article to clear out your cache and cookies. You can also try using a different internet browser or a private browser such as Google Chrome's incognito mode.

If you wish to have the ability to include different fiscal year balances to show in the trial report you can send feedback to our developers by following these steps.

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions then select Next.
  3. You'll be provided a list of suggested Help articles related to your comment. You can read through them or select Skip and send message.
  4. From the drop-down, choose the appropriate category, then select Send message.

Have a great day!
