Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Paula. The restriction you are encountering, which limits the migration of tags to 100 at a time, is a built-in system limitation designed to ensure optimal performance and stability.
While QuickBooks allows for up to 400 custom fields, depending on your subscription, the migration process for tags is limited to this number.
To resolve this issue, we recommend splitting your tags into smaller groups. You can start by migrating the first 100 tags and then proceed with the remaining tags in subsequent batches. This approach will allow you to migrate all your tags without losing any.
Alternatively, you can add the tags manually if that enhances your workflow.

We also encourage you to provide feedback to our development team regarding the importance of allowing the migration of more than 100 tags. Your input is essential as we strive to improve our user experience.

How do I split tags into smaller groups?
Existing tag users will continue to have access to tags, use them, and generate reports accordingly, Kezi. Therefore, there is no need to transition to custom fields.
Please be aware that it is not possible to split tags into smaller groups. Additionally, new QuickBooks Online (QBO) customers and existing customers who have not utilized tags won't have access to this feature.
For ongoing updates concerning tags, I recommend regularly checking your email for the latest information from QuickBooks.
