QuickBooks Online is equipped with dozens of customizable reports that can give you a snapshot of your business in terms of sales, spending, and more. The Balance Sheet is a great report to become familiar with as it provides you with a comprehensive overview of your assets, liabilities, and equity. I have a couple of additional report recommendations that'll show your income as well.
The Profit and Loss report, otherwise known as an income statement, is another great report. It shows both your Income and Expenses but can be customized to show only income. To customize this report, please follow the steps below:
- Open your Profit and Loss report from the Reports centre.
- Select the Customize button in the upper right.
- Start by selecting the Report period to capture 2019.
- Expand the Filter section, and under Distribution Account choose All Income Accounts or manually select the accounts that you'd like to pull data from.
- Click the green Run report button.

Another report that'll show your income is the Income by Customer Summary Report. Select the appropriate Report period and customize it to specify which customer's data you need to capture. Hit Run report and you'll see your income broken down by customer.
If you prefer a visual representation, the Business Snapshot found on the Reports page provides charts and graphs of your income and expenses and how they've changed over time. My Income and Previous Year Income Comparison might be of particular interest to you. Use the dropdown menu within each block to customize these graphs additionally. You can print these reports by selecting the Printer icon in the right corner of each.
