Re: Excel Update Report: Choose column

OK Rochelley thanks for the update, I have a macro that links the sheets together so my compartive TB sheet auto updates from the new sheet. I thought I may have been missing something. thanks again

Re: Excel Update Report: Choose column

Hi there,

QuickBooks allows you to import and export various lists and transaction types using different file formats. You can export Customer, Supplier, Payroll lists and transactions, as well as Items lists in an Excel spreadsheet. If you need to change a report’s appearance or contents in ways that are not available in QuickBooks, you can also export reports and customize it in Excel without affecting your QuickBooks data.

I want to make sure you're able to export the information you need with the correct date range and reporting period. Please review this helpful Community article for more insight into the import/export process in QuickBooks: Import or export MS Excel files

Based on the information you've provided here, it may be beneficial for you to reach out to our phone support team to get a more detailed answer. The number to call is 1-833-317-2226. Pro and Premier support is available 24/7, and Enterprise support is available Monday - Friday, 9am - 8pm EST. I'm confident that with a bit more information, you'll be back on track in no time.

If you have any other questions, let me know. I'm here to help.

Cheers!

Re: Excel Update Report: Choose column

Hello @gwg

You cannot choose a specific column when you export from QB.  But what I often do is export the current period to a new sheet or workbook, then copy and paste the column(s) you want into the file that you are maintaining.
