Good day jlemay59,

Let's get these reports printed!

To print your Sales Tax Summary and Receiver General -Tax Summary reports, simply go to:

  1. Reports in the left panel.
  2. In the search box, type GST/HST Summary Report.
  3. Once the report opens up, click the Print icon in the upper right-hand.
  4. Once a new window opens, click Print.
  5. After printing that report, pull up the Taxable Sales Summary report and print it as well.

I added screenshots for you.

I hope this helps you. If you have more questions about the Sales Tax reports, please let me know. I'll be here to help you out.

I am also unable to print a compliant sales tax report showing gross sales as well as taxable sales. When I search GST/HST Summary Report under the Report page nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Kburton,

If you're not seeing those options, I suspect you may be using QuickBooks Desktop. If that's the case, here's how you can find your sales tax reports. Simply go to the Sales Tax menu in the top menu bar, then choose Tax Agency Report or Tax Agency Detail Report. Using either of those, you'll be able to see the information you need for your sales taxes.

In the event that you're using QuickBooks Online, start by clearing your browser's cache and cookies. That way, we can make sure you're working with a clean slate. Sometimes temporary data causes errors like these and we're not able to see the results we're looking for. The How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files? article can show you the steps. It may even be beneficial to try another browser, such as Chrome or Firefox if those aren't the ones you're using currently.

Otherwise, feel free to call in to our phone support team for more troubleshooting. Agents are ready to help from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST at 1-855-253-1536.

I hope that helps!
