Hi natasham,

QuickBooks Online Payments is a fast and convenient way to process your customers' credit cards. I'm happy to see you're keeping track of how these are recorded in your books, as that is the best way to make sure everything lines up. The undeposited funds account is used to record when your customer makes the payment in full, which is later record as being deposited into your bank account. This is most likely being caused by an error with the settings, I'll be happy to show you how to change it.

You can change the account mapping at any time in your settings. Make a note of the account that's currently set, as that'll indicate where the deposits have been recorded to up to this point. It's just a couple easy steps:

  1. Go to the Settings ⚙ icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select Payments.

That will update the deposits going forward. If the correct account is already set, please reach out to an agent. They'll be able to take a closer look to make sure everything is working as intended. Choose from the following methods to get in touch.
