Import Sales Invoices/Receipts with Multiple Tax Amounts

Hello.

I have a question about importing sales invoices/receipts, specifically about tax amounts in QuickBooks Online.

I have looked at the following post and it is very helpful.

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-ca/sales-customers/import-multiple-invoices-at-once/0...

I would like to know if/how I can include multiple "ItemTaxAmount" columns, my jurisdiction has both GST/PST and while the "ItemTaxCode" is set up in QBO, I would need to use an "ItemGSTAmount" and an "ItemPSTAmount" to get accurate totals.

Thank you in advance.

Import Sales Invoices/Receipts with Multiple Tax Amounts

Hi RandomQuestionPerson,

It's great to see you're taking advantage of the import features to efficiently record a large number of transactions. It's the quickest way to add invoices in bulk. Mapping the tax codes correctly is vital for taking advantage of QuickBooks Online's powerful sales tax tracking, so you can save even more time when filing your returns. The "ItemTaxAmount" column is only used for transactions with a single tax rate such as GST or HST. For group rates like GST/PST, the system will ignore that column and calculate the appropriate amounts based on the tax code. Don't hesitate to submit any feedback you have about this functionality directly to our engineers and help us continue building a great QuickBooks experience.

Hope this helps!
