Not letting me email invoices

Hi there, 

 

Emailing customer invoices directly from QuickBooks Online is such an awesome time-saving feature. I know how important it is to be able to send your invoices when the time comes. I'd be happy to shed some light on this for you. 


It's important to make sure you've entered a valid recipient email address before clicking Save and Send on your invoice. If you're running into issues with an unresponsive browser when trying to send your invoice, there's a few steps you can try to resolve that. 

 

Perhaps there's a bug in your browser making this tricky. Try clearing the cache and cookies in your web browser to remove any stored Internet files. These stored files can cause bugs in QBO and other sites. If the issue persists, try using an Incognito window in Google Chrome. This is a private browsing mode that operates separately from the main browser, and it doesn't get impacted by stored cache and cookies. Here's more information about that and how to use it: Browse in Private. You should also try using multiple different browsers.

The ability to send invoices directly from QuickBooks Online is so important for your business workflow. This helps you skip a step, where you'd otherwise need to attach your invoice to an email outside the QuickBooks environment. If you're unable to send your invoice, I'd be happy to help.

 

The first step is to ensure you've entered your customer's email address at the top of the invoice creation screen. This will need to be entered prior to saving your invoice. 

 

The next step is to make sure you've toggled to the Save and Send option. When you save your invoice you can also select Save and Close, or Save and Share Link. Click the small drop-down menu next to the save option to select Save and Send
