Great question! Whether you're using QuickBooks Online's new Receipts feature to capture your receipts or have simply been adding them from your app when creating a transaction, both are efficient ways to enter data into your books. I'm happy to go over this with you to you can find these images.
When you attach a receipt to a transaction or create one from an image using the Receipts feature, both store the images in the same way. The images get added as attachments to the transaction itself, which allows you to go back in later to open and review them. Here's how that would work.
- Select Expenses from the left menu.
- Click the expense you'd like to open it.
- Scroll to the Attachments section.
- Click the attached image to view it.
The attachment will then open up, where you can save it through your browser or app's options if you need another copy of it for your records. If you're looking to get copies of all the images attached to receipts, going into them one-by-one will allow you to do so.
