Hi SnapSnap,

Making sure your transactions are properly recorded is essential for your bookkeeping. The Reclassify transactions tool is a great feature in QuickBooks Online Accountant that helps you edit multiple transactions at once. I'll be happy to share more on this.

With the Reclassify feature, you can move a group of transactions from one account to another, edit their tax code if needed, and update the location and class if those were enabled. There's no option available to change the transaction type with this feature, which is why you weren't able to see a section to switch deposit types to sales receipts. To do such changes in the program, you'll have to edit those transactions one at a time. Here's an article for your reference: Accountant tools: Reclassify your client’s transactions

I know it would've been handier to not only correct transactions assigned to wrong accounts with this feature, and I invite you to submit feedback directly to our engineers on having the ability to also reclassify by transaction types. We are always looking for new ideas to improve the program, and your opinion helps a lot with that.

Feel free to also visit our Apps menu to explore any third-party apps that could better assist you with your task.

Have a nice day!
