Creating invoices has never been easier for a small business owner using QuickBooks Online. I know how important it is to have the flexibility to delete invoices as well. I'd be happy to explain how to delete an invoice.
Follow these steps to delete an invoice:
1. Click the Sales tab on the left navigation menu.
2. Select Invoices.
3. Click the small triangle drop-down menu next to Receive payment.
4. Choose Delete.
If you've already received a payment towards the invoice, you'll have to delete that first. Click your invoice to open it, then click 1 payment made at the top right-hand side of the page.
Once you're on the payment screen, click More at the bottom of the page, then select Delete. Then you may proceed to deleting your invoice using the instructions above.
