QuickBooks Online (QBO) includes an automated feature that automatically applies credits to the next invoice you create. This could explain why your newly created invoices appear as paid.
You can disable this feature if you want to have control over when credits are applied.
Here’s how:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Account and Settings.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Look for the Automation section, then click Edit.
- Then toggle Automatically apply credits off feature.
- Click Save, then Done.
