Hi there Rob,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! This is your one-stop-shop for all things QuickBooks, so you've made the right choice reaching out here for support. The tax module in QuickBooks Online makes tracking and remitting sales tax extremely accessible. I know that running into issues like these can interrupt your workflow, so let me go over a few steps you can take to get to the bottom of this.

The first step in resolving this issue, is to take a look at your tax agencies to ensure that everything is still set up as it should be. Please navigate to the Taxes tab from the left menu, then select Manage sales tax. This is where you'll be able to take a look at the tax agencies you've set up and their respective codes. Ensure that all codes are still displaying as active - they should show Make inactive in the Actions column. Ensure that the Show inactive switch at the top right is green, then check to see if there are any rates that have been made inactive. To make them active again simply click Make active from the action column.

If all looks well within the sales tax module, the next step is to run through the following browser troubleshooting steps. Your browser's cache and cookies store images and files as a way to speed up browsing, but on occasion these images and files can cause issues with the way you see webpages. Clearing the cache and trying different browsers is a great way to eliminate the browser as the source of the problem.

If after running through all of the steps above you're still not seeing a tax breakdown on your invoices, a call to our customer support team will help you get this resolved. By calling in you can work in real-time with one of our trained experts who can do a screen share with you so they can see for themselves what's causing the issue. You can reach out via one of the channels below from Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 8 PM EST:

Phone: call us at 1-855-253-1536.

Schedule a Callback: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback.

I'm confident that you'll have this issue resolved in no time. Enjoy your week!
