When sales order changes to Invoice have both invoice date & ship date default to today's date. Invoice date does default to today's date but the ship date does not.

The ship date on an invoice does not default to current date even though the default in the preferences section is set to default new transactions to current date.  The Invoice date does default to the current date but not the ship date - it comes up as some other date and it is unknown from where it comes from - creates headaches if you don't remember to correct it each time.  I have tried the rebuild and verify functions they say there is no problems.

Hello DoveMax,

Thanks for joining us in community!

When it comes to the dates used on your forms, the dates shouldn't be changing arbitrarily. Great job with taking the step to check for data damage through the verify and rebuild tool. Since you're not seeing anything there, I recommend deleting and recreating the sales order then trying to create an invoice from the newly created one.

What there ever a solution? I have this same problem. It only started with QB 2019. The ship date defaults to the Sales order date instead of the invoice date.
