How to correct tax in "new" receipt entry method? In drop down the tax total is incorrect (16% for GST and PST). In all other drop downs, it is correctly at 11%.

I have checked tax rates and all appears correct.  I am using the online QB version.

Hey goballisticgun,

Thank you for including so many details. Checking the tax rates is the first step in ensuring accurate calculations and unlocking the power of QuickBooks to make filing easier. It's great that you caught this early on.

The Receipts feature uses the tax names as they're written in the Sales Tax Center. You can verify you're using the correct rate by heading to the Taxes tab, selecting Sales Tax, then clicking on Manage Sales Tax. If it's appearing correctly here, test it on a transaction in the receipts tab to see if it's calculating at 11% or 16%. We've had reports of a similar issue before, so I recommend reaching out to one of our agents for help with this.

If it's showing correctly in the Tax Center and calculating at 11%, use this article to make sure your browser is supported and follow the instructions to clear your browser cache: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files?

If you still receive the error after these steps or if it's calculating tax amounts at 16%, we'll need to investigate further to get to the bottom of it. Please choose from one of the following options to get in touch with an agent.
