Need help with poting hst please

Sorry was supposed to say 'posting' not poting.

What I need help with is this:  we sell and collect HST - on some items 5% and some 8% and some 13%.  We take Visa, MC and debit and of course cash.  My end of day report does not tell me what method was used to pay which tax category - so now my question is where and how do I post the HST on sales.  I. E.   Total sales:  $3,389.25, total HST collected:  $408.21.  Cash payments:  1612.16, VISA 363.87, MC 411.90 and debit 1408.32.  Where do I post the 408.21 that we collected so it will run a total for CRA payment?

Hi, YellowRose1

If you are using QuickBooks Online Canadian version, from the tax centre if you file a return for a particular period QuickBooks Online will post necessary journal entries automatically this feature/function is available not only with the Tax returns also available for all the daily transactions for e.g. Invoice screen, Bill screen, Cheques screen, Credit memo screen etc. Once you filed the returns under the action column select Record payment / Record Refund etc

If you are facing a unique situation where the QuickBooks Online screens are not available to use for e.g. deleting a filed return etc. you can ask QB community for a solution or QB Customer care.

Comment back for further clarifications.
