Changing a payment that has been processed can no longer be updated, p-zanetti. I'll share further details about updates regarding our payment processing system.
Please note that once a payment goes through, you're unable to modify it. However, if you want to update the payment method to e-Pay, this new method will be applied in your upcoming pay period.
To transition your payment method to e-Pay, kindly complete your tax setup and ensure you know what's needed for your tax filings and when to submit them. Once everything is set, you can start paying your taxes electronically.
Here are the steps:
- Navigate to the Taxes section and click on Payroll tax.
- Choose Payments.
- Under Action Needed, you’ll find a list of taxes that are currently due. Taxes due at a future date are listed under Coming Up. Use the Filter option to locate a specific tax.
- Click Pay next to the tax that you want to settle. You can also settle overdue payments to the CRA here.
- Ensure that the Bank Account listed is the correct payroll account. This does not affect which actual bank account you’re using.
- Check your payment date and change it if necessary.
- Click on E-pay to proceed.
- To check your previous payments, go to Payment History.
