Hello there, Sherri. Yes, you can change the HST filing frequency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) by going to the Tax agencies page.
Before updating, you must get permission from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to change your filing frequency, as they mandate your schedule based on your annual sales. Visit Canada.ca to learn more.
Once your business has received permission from the CRA, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to All apps, then select Sales Tax.
- Click Manage sales tax.
- On the Tax agencies page, choose Edit agency settings.
- Select the new frequency from the Filing frequency drop-down menu.
- Click Save.
