Hi finance-visture-,

Journal entries are a great way to enter information into your QuickBooks Online account. I'd be happy to help you with your journal entries and filing sales tax.

QuickBooks Online makes it easy to file your sales tax by tracking all your purchases and sales. When you create a journal entry you have to make sure that your sales tax information is always placed on a different line and tracked to the proper accounts. If it's included in the sales amount then it won't be able to be separated to the correct places. It's always recommended to reach out to an accountant before creating a journal entry as they are trained on how to track them properly. You can follow the steps in this article to learn more about creating a journal entry in QuickBooks Online. If you don't have an accountant no worries, we can help with that. You can go to: My Accountant>Find a pro to help. This will bring you to our find an accountant page to help you find one in your area.

Hope this helped
