QuickBooks Online allows you to set up various tax codes and tax agencies to suit your small business needs. You may have more than one tax agency, and it's possible that you'll have to make adjustments as your business grows.

If you need to change the name of a tax code in your account, you'll have to create an entirely new tax code. At this time, you're not able to change the rate percentage, or the name of the tax code in your QBO account.
