User access in the Sales Tax Centre

User access in the Sales Tax Centre varies depending on the scope of the user’s role in QuickBooks Online.

 

Access and Restrictions for Customer and Sales Users

Customer and sales users can:

  • Access the Taxes page.
  • Add tax agencies and rates.
  • Edit, deactivate, and rename tax agencies.
  • View the following reports: the tax liability report and the transaction report.

Customer and sales users can't:

  • Record tax payments

Access and Restrictions for Suppliers and Purchase Users

Suppliers and purchase users can:

  • Access the Taxes page.
  • View the following reports: the tax liability report and the transaction report.
  • Add tax agencies and rates.

Suppliers and purchase users can't:

  • Edit, deactivate, and rename tax agencies

How do I change my access to the Sales Tax Centre?

If you want to be able to accomplish restricted tasking in the Sales Tax Centre you'll need to change your user access rights. To change a user's access rights, see user management - add, delete, or change a user's access.
