When trying to enter a transaction. The tax rate in not picked. When hit the drop down bar on select tax, it goes to manage rates, and does not fill in the box

To resolve this matter, you’ll need to assign tax agencies and set up tax codes. If this setup is missing or incomplete, the Tax rate dropdown won’t display selectable rates and will instead direct you to Manage Rates.

To guide you in finishing the setup, you can follow these steps:

1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Go to Taxes and select  Sales tax.
3. Click the Manage Sales tax.
4. Hit the Add tax and then follow the on-screen prompt.

• Please ensure that any tax rates you add are set to Active.
