Why aren't my sales and services showing up in my sales tax return?

I appreciate you for raising this concern here, Stillkat. I'll provide you with the reasons for this and the ways to fix it.

To start, let's review the setup of your GST since this will affect how your sales tax return reflects this. You can visit this article for guidance: Set up where you collect sales tax in QuickBooks Online.

If the setup is accurate and sales tax still not showing, the other reason is it has been filed or the date from the previous filing overlapped with the period you selected.

You'll need to look for the recent journal entry and review the transaction to see if it overlaps with the date period. Once you identify that it is for a previous sales tax filing but the date is current, I suggest changing the date to the end of the return period.

However, if you're not aware of the sales tax period you filed before and could not determine if the period covers October to December or January to March, you can view the one of your sales tax report.

I'll also share this article if you wish to simplify your sales tax return tracking: Switch to automated sales tax in QuickBooks Online.
