Learn how to sign up and create a QuickBooks Online Accountant firm.

If you're an accountant, sign up to our QuickBooks Online Accountant product and manage your practice, and your clients all in one place.

You’ll be able to access your clients books in real-time, share documents securely, and use the products enhanced bookkeeping tools to edit transactions, and fix issues.

Creating a new QuickBooks Online Accountant firm is quick and easy. You can sign up directly from our website, or through an invite sent by a client.

Note: The steps to sign up may vary based on whether you have used QuickBooks Online before.

If you've never used Quickbooks Online

If you don't have an existing user ID, or you want to create a brand new profile for QuickBooks Online Accountant:

  1. Head over to our website for your region.
  2. Select Accountants, then QuickBooks Online Accountant.
  3. Select Sign up.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts.

If you already used QuickBooks Online

If you have an existing user ID, you can create a QuickBooks Online Accountant firm from it.

  1. Head over to our website for your region.
  2. Select Accountants, then QuickBooks Online Accountant.
  3. Select Sign up.
  4. Select Already have an Intuit account? Sign in.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts.

Forgot your Intuit log-in? Recover your QuickBooks Online account.

If you've never used QuickBooks

  1. Ask your client to invite you to be their accountant.
  2. Open the invite email and select the Accept Invitation link.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts.

If you already used QuickBooks Online

  1. Ask your client to send the invite to the email address connected to your existing user ID.
  2. Open the invite email and select the Accept Invitation link.
  3. Sign in with your user ID and password.
