
Track the total sales for each salesperson without Class/Location tracking

You may want to track the sales of your salesperson for the month for the commission payout, but you have already used the Class/Location tracking for other purposes.
These instructions apply only if you have used the Class or Location tracking for a salesperson for another purpose.
Prerequisites
Before you can track these sales, you must add a new field for the salesperson responsible for a given invoice.
- Go to Settings
and select Custom fields.
- Select Add field.
Note: If this is your first time creating a custom field, select Add custom field. - Enter the Salesperson in the Name field.
- Select the Data type ▼ dropdown for the type of custom field.
- For the category, select Transaction.
- Select the checkbox next to Invoice, but turn off Print on form.
- Select Save.
Record the salesperson responsible for the invoice
To record the sales for the salesperson without Class/Location tracking:
- Select + New.
- Select Invoice.
- Complete the invoice normally.
- Enter the salesperson's name responsible for the invoice in the Salesperson field.
- Select Save and close.
Track the total sales for each salesperson
To generate the total sales made by the salesperson for a particular period:
- Go to Reports (Take me there) and select Standard reports.
- Select Invoice List.
- Select Columns, then select More Columns.
- Under Custom Fields, select the checkbox next to Salesperson.
- To filter the name of the individual salesperson, select
Filter.
- In the Filter section, Select the first ▼ dropdown, then select Salesperson and input the name of the salesperson.
- Repeat step 6 to retrieve the records for other salesperson.
You can filter for a specific salesperson as with any other field.
