Duplicate an invoice or a quote in QuickBooks Online

by Intuit1 Updated 3 weeks ago

Learn how to make a copy of an existing invoice or quote in QuickBooks Online.

If you have a customer who has a repeat invoice, save time by duplicating the invoice instead of entering all the info twice. Here's how.

When you copy an invoice or quote, it creates a new invoice or quote with the same info. You can even change the invoice’s or quote's customer if you want to send the same invoice or quote charges to different customers.

  1. Go to Sales and select All sales (Take me there).
  2. Find the invoice or quote you want to copy.
  3. From the Action column, select the dropdown ▼, then select Duplicate.
  4. Edit the invoice or quote as needed. If you want to create the same invoice or quote for multiple customers, select the new customer from the list.
  5. Select Save or Save and close.

If the same customer needs the same invoice regularly, you can set up recurring transactions instead.
