Use passkeys to sign in to your Intuit Account

by Intuit Updated 1 week ago

Learn how to add, use, or delete a passkey in your Intuit Account.

Passkeys offer added security and convenience for signing in to your Intuit Account. Use passkeys as your digital keys. With passkeys, you don't need to remember a password or get one-time passcodes via text or email.

Find out more about passkeys

  • A passkey replaces your password and two-step verification with a single step.
  • Your device stores passkeys, so they’re never shared with a website or app.
  • You can't guess passkeys. This makes them resistant to phishing attacks.
  • You only need to enroll once. Then, sign in with your passkey the same way you unlock your device using screen lock or biometrics. This keeps your passkey secure, even if your device gets lost or stolen.
Note: You can still use your passkey if you get a new device. If your new device uses the same operating system or password manager (like Apple, Google, or Microsoft), it'll sync your passkey and make it available for sign-in.
  • Your keychain or password manager saves your passkeys. This lets you use the same passkey across different devices.

Sign in to your Intuit Account with a passkey

If you've set up a passkey for Intuit and we recognise your device and account, you’ll get a prompt to sign in with a passkey.

Note: Each Intuit Account has its own passkey connected to that account’s info (phone number, email, or user ID). If you only have one account, you can use one passkey to sign in to all your Intuit products across multiple devices.

If we don’t recognise your device or account, we’ll verify your identity another way. Then, we’ll let you use your passkey.

Each device and operating system is different, but usually you can find your password manager under Settings or Security. Look for the name of the website or app, such as Intuit in the list of passwords and passkeys.
